Information Booth San Diego Gay Pride 2002
We had a very successful information booth. Many people had heard
about the bad marks that the Boy Scouts of America were receiving in
the press and some people did not know.We had more than 950 post cards signed which asked the President of the United States to resign from his position as honorary president of the Boy Scouts of America and those post cards were sent to the President. Then more than 1,400 signatures were collected for a petition which was forwarded to the Boy Scouts of America headquarters, in Texas. We had over 80 people enrolling to join our struggle here in San Diego against the open discriminatory policy the Boy Scouts of America has adopted. Pictured here are several of the Scouting For All members at the Information Booth at San Diego's Gay Pride 2002. We will set up a booth every year until necessary.
